Information in your service request
This page describes the information used in Forksignal’s current enquiry, quote, and work update flow.
Enquiries and replies
When you send an enquiry at /request-service, the app saves your enquiry text and the reply email you provide. Forksignal staff review the saved request and use that email address to follow up about your enquiry and discuss possible scope. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a quote or start a service.
Optional restaurant details
The private brief can include a restaurant name, location, website, social accounts, reservation channels, current handling, marketing goals, requested support areas, and reservation needs or details. These details are saved with that request so staff can understand what you are exploring and prepare a relevant response. A reply email is required for the enquiry; other contact details may be stored in the request workspace when staff prepare an offer.
Quotes and your decisions
Each shared offer is saved as its own version for the request. A version contains the restaurant and customer names, service scope and deliverables, additional details, price, timing, exclusions, payment instructions, cancellation terms, and any expiry date. Your acceptance, decline, change request, and any note you submit are saved against the offer version you responded to. A revised offer is stored as a separate version with its own terms and status.
Work status and updates
The request workspace stores the job status and progress or delivery messages staff record for the customer view. Staff review the enquiry, prepare and share offers, record when accepted work starts, and can post progress updates or record delivery. The customer view shows those job updates and shared quote versions; it does not show the separate staff-only request note.
Private links
A private brief, quote, or customer workspace link grants access to information associated with that request. Anyone who has one of these links can access that associated information. Keep private links to yourself. The reply email on an enquiry is contact information; it does not verify the identity of someone using a private link.
